Meet My Character is a two-week event on Dreem built for your characters. Create a brand-new, first-person interactive story (15 seconds to 1 minute) for your Dreem ones!

What makes a great entry

1. Character-driven, not world-driven

Your story should be about your characters. You can feature more than one character if the story calls for it. What matters is that the spotlight stays on the character & viewer. Make them live on Dreem!

2. First-person POV

We strongly recommend first-person POV, meaning the camera is the viewer's own eyes. The viewer never sees their own face or body. They see your character looking into the camera, speaking to them, waiting for them to answer. That's what makes it feel like meeting someone instead of watching a clip. So: no narrator, no third person, no scenes the viewer is only watching from the outside.

3. 15 to 60 seconds, with at least one interactive choice

Your story needs to run between 15 to 60 seconds. It also needs at least one interaction.

We recommend interactions that help to learn more about your character: a swipe to get close to them, a hold that reads their mind…

We also recommend where the viewer makes a choice: answering a question, picking a direction, deciding whether to stay or go. One choice is the minimum, and entries without one are not eligible. More paths, more time spent with your character.

1. First Encounter

Meet your character somewhere unexpected. A rainy street, work, a café, a train, or anywhere your story begins.

2. Flirt or Date

Go on a date, tease each other, flirt, argue playfully, or share a moment meant only for the two of you.

3. Everyday Life Together

Cook, shop, get coffee, stay home, or spend an ordinary day together. No moment is too small.

4. Get Caught, Questioned, or Confronted

Your character gets caught, questioned, makes a mistake, keeps a secret, or has something they don’t want to tell you.

5. Help, Heal, or Save Each Other

Help your character when they’re hurt, or let them step in when you’re the one who needs help.

Dance, perform, show off a look, take us somewhere, introduce your world, or surprise us with something completely different.

How to enter

Step 1 — Publish your storyline on Dreem

  • Brand new, created and published during the event window
  • Character or charcters leading the story
  • First-person POV
  • 15–60 seconds, with at least one interactive choice

Multiple entries are welcome. Post as many storylines as you want. A single storyline can also feature more than one character; just make sure one of them clearly leads.

Step 2 — Fill out the submission form

One form per storyline: [SUBMISSION LINK]This is how we match your Dreem account to your entry. No form, no ranking.

Step 3 — Post your character on social

Introduce your character where your audience already is. Reddit, TikTok, X, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, RedNote, wherever you post. A screen recording of your Dreem story / reaction video / new editing video is completely fine. Your post must:

  • Mention Dreem in the caption or in a comment
  • @ Dreem's official account on that platform

Optional but encouraged: drop it in #video-showcase on Discord with #MeetMyCharacter so the community can find you.

New content only

The character can be one you've had for years, including characters from Character.AI, Janitor AI, or anywhere else. The Dreem storyline has to be new.

Not eligible:

  • Stories built or published on Dreem before the event started
  • Stories previously submitted to another Dreem event
  • Reuploads, duplicates, or old stories with small edits
  • Old content repackaged as a new submission

How the Top Five are chosen

Rankings are based on your story's likes inside the Dreem App.A few things that follow from that:

  • Only engagement on Dreem counts. Social likes and Discord reactions don't. But your social post is what drives people to Dreem in the first place!
  • Post more, rank more. Every storyline you publish is ranked separately, so more entries means more chances.
  • Invite your audiences. Share your link, ask your audience to come meet your character, and bring them in. That's the whole point.
  • Only engagement recorded before the deadline counts.
